A Few Words On Alvin Malnik

Look into his eyes, the eyes of Alvin Malnik. What do you see? A man, a friend, a co-worker? There are many things one could say Alvin Malnik is, but it would be better said as what Alvin Malnik is not. Alvin Malnik is not a person who got an easy start. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 22, 1980 to his beloved parents, Noreen and Daniel. They may have been considered “poor” by some people’s standards, but Alvin never wanted for anything and he was always loved. Tragically, when he was only five, a drunk driver took his parents from him. He was left to be raised by his grandmother Aida. She made sure Alvin was taken care of and tried her best to give him a normal childhood. Even with all her love he always wondered what his live might have been like had his parents still been with him. This is one of the major reasons Alvin Malnik today puts his family life before everything else. He truly treasures his beloved daughters and wife and strives everyday to have fun with them.

Alvin Malnik is not a procrastinator. He realized long ago that if you leave something to do for tomorrow, there is a chance tomorrow may never come. He lives by the mantra of “Live for today!” and makes sure his friends and family are along for the ride. He enjoys being outdoors and is an avid camper. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, softball and just about anything having to do with water. If it’s a summer weekend, you can count on seeing Alvin Malnik, with his family in tow, on the Missouri River.

Alvin Malnik is not a polluter. He is an active supporter of the clean up of the Missouri River and has participated in many efforts to keep the river pristine. He believes the future of the world belongs to our children, so we need to do our part while we are in its charge. Alvin Malnik is also is a HUGE recycling advocate and you will NEVER see Alvin Malnik throw away an aluminum can, plastic item, glass bottle, jar or paper product. It is almost an obsession with him. Alvin Malnik believes it is the right thing to do and so simple that there is no excuse to not recycle.

Alvin Malnik is not the kind of man to stand on the sidelines. He, as you might imagine, is an active proponent of the reform of drunk driving laws. He is currently campaigning at the grass roots level to change the Missouri laws to ensure all drunk drivers lose their licenses for at least one year. This effort also includes ramping up of DUI enforcement and requiring better local law enforcement reporting of offenders to the state. This will hopefully close the loopholes that presently allow repeat offenders to continue to get behind the wheel while drunk.

So that’s Alvin Malnik in a nutshell. That’s what I’m all about.

I tried to view myself as an observer to try and be as objective and honest about who I am and what I believe as possible. Its interesting-you should try it sometime.

I am Alvin Malnik.

Do you like and respect what you see? I am looking for like-minded people with similar interests as my family and me. Leave me a comment if you’re interested. Thanks for taking a minute to learn about me and what make me who I am.

Sincerely,
Alvin Malnik
